How to get your permit:

Go to a Service Oklahoma location for a walk-in the same day. They no longer make appointments two months in advance. The Department of Public Safety is now called Service Oklahoma.

What to Take With You to the SOK:

  1. Birth Certificate OR Passport
  2. Social Security Number
  3. Driver Education Registration Form or Completion Certificate
  4. Parent or Parent Affidavit (if under 18)
  5. *Real ID (Applicant or Parent has 2 Forms of Proof of Residency)

Fees Involved at the SOK/Tag Agency:

  • $42.50 First time Learner License (Permit)
  • $25.00 Duplicate license (Restriction Change after Driving Test)
  • $4.00 Fail Fee for Written and Driving Tests
